Here is the Warren Family! Jason contacted me before Christmas about purchasing a session as a Christmas gift for Abbie. Major brownie points for Jason :) So in April we got together in Fort Mill at the Dairy Farm (which is awesome) to take their family pictures!! Poor little "C" was not feeling good that morning but she end up being a trooper!! Her are my favorites of our time together...

Soooo it has been forever since I have blogged. Partly because I am so busy and partly because this blog I use just frustrates me to no end :) I am very happy and excited to announce in the very near future my NEW website and blog will be up and running! I finally reached out to the outside world and asked for help with this computer thing :) Megan Keatley is a web designer and she is helping me to make this awesome job of photographer plus business women make more sense for you and for me (did I just call myself a business women!?!?????) so weird!!!
Anyway back to this whole blogging thing :) Here is a family I did a while back with the 3 sweetest kids. Big brother is a heart throb and sister is adorable with her cheeks and red hair and baby brother...well he is just yummy with those big eyes!!! Mom and dad rocked and we just had fun together. So baby "W" is 6 months old and her mommy wanted to do some pictures on the lake at her parents house. She also wanted to use an old vintage chair that belonged to her grandmother. I was more then happy to do!!! The cool thing about this chair and baby "W" is that she was named after her late great grandma who owned this chair!!!!! I love everything about this picture the colors, the old and new together and a lasting memory!! Baby "W" is sitting her great grandma "W" chair!! Very cool and why I call this picture legacy!!!

I also entered it in, I heart faces photo contest that the only requirement was to use a prop :) Enjoy!

A Senoir, Horses, Classic cars and Yes a Fire truck=Amazing!

So excited to post these pictures of my first senior!! Her mom contacted me about doing her pictures at the horse farm she works at! HORSE FARM did you say...yes a horse farm!! This has been one of my dreams, to photograph someone any one on a horse farm! I was so excited for the day! I pulled up to the gate to punch in the code and my mouth drop wide open!! I could not believe my eyes!!! It was more then I ever could have imagined! Little did I know of all the awesome locations and backdrops that awaited me. Marissa was a trooper and was willing to do anything...we even got a few pictures with her boyfriend who was there for support ;) It by far is one of my all time favorite shoots ever :) Everywhere I turned was another amazing location to capture Marissa's personality, smile and beauty! She was wonderful to work! Good luck Marissa in the coming year as you embark on your new journey of College :) Enjoy my favorites...

Little boy and his green boots!

I did this session way back in March...yes people I said March!! I told you I have been behind. I wanted to get these photos up of this handsome little man and I just kept forgetting. Some of these are my all time favorites so I have no idea why it took me so long ;)
So little "N" is the youngest of three. He has an older brother and sister who love him to pieces (ok maybe that is his sister :) His mom wanted to capture him before he grew out of that two year old sweet baby face!! Like most parents me included there are never enough pictures of our youngest. Life gets busy with the older ones that we tend to forget about the milestone with the younger ones :) So I was happy to capture little "N" at a fun time in his life. I love two years olds!!! You never know what you are going to get! They really our so cute!!! Enjoy my favorites...

Little "N" brought his green boots so we just had to get a couple shots of him in those :) This first picture of him makes me giggle. I think he is always like this when he has his boots on...Mr GQ :)

Every boy should have a green frog to go with his green boots....right? :)

"Simon Says", Bowties and Twins!

One of the best things about my job is when a client calls me up and says, " I have found a wonderful location to do some pictures of my boys...when are you available!" I love when parents get excited about capturing their little ones and making lasting memories!!!

I can't help but say it and maybe this a theme I will keep talking about. Create memories with your family, with your kids, be silly with the camera, who cares what you look like or how many lbs. you need to lose before taking photos with your kids....our families and kids change everyday...capture it before it is to late!!!!!
So back to this post....these two boys are identical twins and I have photographed them in the past and they have an awesome mom who makes sure to capture their ever changing faces and personalities! The two "P's" always keep me on my toes but I love it!!! When mom called and told me about this location near her house I had an idea it was one of my favorite locations...it was :) The boys were being hams and had their own ideas for pictures :) but in the end mom and I won to get a few shots of them together!!! Here are some of my favorites...enjoy!!!

A great game of "Simon Says" always works to keep kids still and they always give you that awesome smile when you catch them doing a motion they are not suppose to be doing :)

Michael and Carrie's Wedding

I am so excited to tell and show you the Melchers wedding!!! Carrie is a former basketball player of mine back in the day of church basketball. When she contacted me about shooting her wedding I was so excited! Carrie was one of those players who would give you everything she had on the court and she had a great work ethic. She also has a very caring heart. So it was only fitting that I would shoot her wedding because I too wanted to give her everything I had to capture this really important day for her and Michael. I have a special place in my heart for Carrie...plus I totally love her parents :)

Then there is Michael...I have only met him a few times and oh how I ADORE him!!! Michael is what I like to call an old sole....gentlemen, family man, polite, and he completely adores Carrie :) God is going to do huge things with this couple :)
I wish I could post every picture of their wedding but that would take forever...so I will show you my favorites from the day...

I have to tell you a little bit about this dress! Carrie's Grandmother was the first to wear it and all the women in the family since then have worn it. How cool is that!!! Each time it has been changed a little bit (adding new material) but for the most part it is the original dress....how amazing!! Ok we will continue...:)

These next two pictures are sweet moments with her mom after putting her dress on and seeing her dad for the first time!!!

Carrie and Michael decided to see each other before the wedding and I am so glad they did. The light was not ideal (shadows all over them) but I could not pass up the courtyard with the trees blooming!!

So, it has been forever since I blogged!! So sorry blog buddies...! I have so much to blog and share with you...
I will start out first with showing you some pictures I took of my nephew who LOVES Karate and it also gave me a chance to try a new location for future shoots. It also means I got a chance to take some photos of my girls as well which I have not done in a while!! My nephew is 18 months older then my hannah. They are close enough in age to be great buddies!!! I think he like having younger family members then himself since he is the baby of his family!! He is so sweet to both my girls!!! But don't mess with him when it comes to karate :)
He is pretty good at it and loves practicing on my husband with all his new moves :) LOL

So here are a few of him showing me his moves and flexibility....!!!! Yikes!!!

Baby Goodness!!

Another adorable newborn! This little one reminded me of my girls. Lots of hair and chunky cheeks!! So cute and adorable! She did great for her first photo shoot and you will see way this post will be big. I had a hard time picking which ones! Little "W" parents are in love and even her little four leg brothers and sisters are in love too! As they were wanting to come in all morning while I was there. Ok enough typing, let's get to the pictures and my favorites.....

Family Ties

Here is a family that is very dear to my heart!!! Why do you ask?....because they are family!!! My sister-in-law asked me again to take their Christmas picture this past year (2010). We set a date and went to one of my favorite places! The best part of it was it was on my birthday and we all went out to dinner after the session. I was even able to sneak my kids in at the end to get a cousins picture! They are all growing up so fast! Enjoy my favorites and their Christmas card picture....

Smith Family

One of the best parts of being a photographer is seeing new moms and dads loving all over their little one. The Smith family is one of those. Natalie just gave birth to little "P" two months ago (when I took the pictures) and he is growing like a weed! He had all kinds of fat rolls which I LOVE and he was so adorable. You could tell how much they love and adore him!!!
I took their pictures on one of those really cold days a couple of weeks ago, so we stayed inside the comfort of their house to take a few pictures. Natalie is stunning and Matt does not look to bad himself...lol. But little "P" stole the show with his smile and rolls! He was fighting sleep the whole time but he was a trooper!!
I normally don't do a whole session in black and white but these pictures just looked to good!! Enjoy my favorites!! This first one steals my heart every time I look at it!!! Can you see dad's grin???

A Year to Remember!

There is so much to be thankful for from this past year and I thank God for the many blessings! 2011 is going to be a very exciting year for me and my photography! I look forward to the many changes and challenges this business adventure will take me on!! Growth seems to be the word that comes to me when I look a head to the new year. But I can't forget all the changes and blessing from this past year! I pray this new year will bring all of you many blessing and growth as well. For me it means growth in myself, with God, my business, and my family!
I leave you a picture of my girls who have changed so much and drive me to be a better mother, wife and photographer!!! I always tell them to believe in themselves and they can do it.... I need to listen to my own words as I grow this business and dream that I love so much....!!!!Thank you for all the support and words of encouragement that I have received from so many of you!!

There is so much about this session that I love and I will not write much so we can get right to the pictures!!! This family is gorgeous and they were so easy to work with!!! The kids were willing to try anything and even had some great ideas! We spent the afternoon at River Front Park along with about 8 other families trying to get their pictures done for Christmas. It was kinda funny :)
We will start with the kids and then the whole family! They were all good to my camera and the best part is when they chose the "funky" picture for their Christmas Card! I was super happy :) Enjoy, here are my favorites (to many to pick from)!!!

Southern Charm

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I know I did despite working the whole time with editing and my own family pictures....I to had a wonderful time with my whole family. I will post later the pictures from a week at the beach!!!

I am so excited to post this couple. They are getting ready to welcome a new addition to the family in just a few more weeks! Daddy-to-be was cracking me up the whole time and he had a lot of great and fun ideas for the shoot. You will see soon just how fun they were :) When Michele contacted me to do her maternity pictures she told me about her Aunt's house in Summerville. It is an historic home full of southern charm. It was a prefect back drop for the shoot. The house was beautiful and it has this amazing iron gate in the front of it!! I was in heaven....ahhhhhhhh! Mommy and Daddy to be were so easy to work with and kept me laughing!! So, I will get to the pictures and show you just how beautiful and fun this shoot was!!! Here are my favorites!!!!

1st Birthdays and Beautiful Families

You may notice this family since I have taken their photo's a couple of times! Little "G" turned one which means picture time. Little "G" has been in front of my camera since he was in his mommy's belly! It makes my heart smile to see this little guy grow up in front of me!! He joins his already beautiful sister and handsome brother to complete this family! Mom and dad are just as beautiful which makes it easy to understand where they get their good looks!!
How times flies and how quickly are kids change in just one year! I remember little "G" being so tiny and having wrinkled skin because he had no baby fat on him. His mommy said he looked like an old man :) but he had piercing blue eyes that made your heart melt! So you might remember little "G" looking like this.....

I am so excited to finally post these pictures of little "A" !! I truly love newborn sessions and capturing the details and precious moments that pass so fast. It also helps to have lots of hair and really big precious eyes!!
Mom and I waited patiently for little man to fall a sleep and when he finally did he pretty much let me move and put him in every position possible!! He was a great sport and oh...did I tell you all ready he's adorable :) I will stop talking now....let's get to the pictures....!

Happy Halloween

It is that time of year again when the leaves change to amazing colors and you have to change your clothes at least three times a day :) The smell of chili in the crock pot and little voice saying "trick or treat"!!

This will be short since my oldest informed in me that I can not work on trick or treat day :) Here are a few pictures of my family visiting the pumpkin patch a few weeks ago! Everyone have a safe and happy halloween!!

Crossland Wedding!!

I am sooooooo excited to finally post this wedding. First, can I say I could not ask for better clients for my first wedding!! S and J, you guys were the best and thank you for trusting me with your very special day! I was so ready to get going on the wedding day that I felt the same way I used to feel before every basketball game I played (this means that I had to use the bathroom every 5 minutes) lol

Anyway by the time I got there and pulled out my camera I was ready to rock it!!!! I will tell you that I was completely exhausted by the time I got home that night and I learned so much!

I had a great time hanging out with the family and their friends and they all made me feel like part of the family! So only to keep in the theme of how they met and live their lives you will see a little country, fishing and a lot of love! Love, Lake and Fishing

Where do I begin with this couple!! First, when we met we both knew we recognized each other...come to find out we graduated together in high school! Second, if they picked me it would be my first wedding!! Well, they liked me enough to give me a chance!! I was so excited! Once everything was set they decided to also use me for their engagement pictures! So a week before their wedding...yes I said a week....we headed out to Lake Murray Dam and couple other places to take some pictures.
They met on the lake and they both love to fish...so it just seemed right to do it there! We had fun taking pictures and we even got a little fishing in (even if there was a sign that said no fishing). We would you believe by the 4th cast he caught a big bass!! I think any pond that has a sign that says no fishing really means we have some big old fish in here!!! Don't worry he threw it back :) Here are some of my favs...

Daddy and Mommy To Be!!

I have to start out by saying what a great gift you can give for a shower. This session was a gift to the parents-to-be!! Mommy was very excited about the shoot and even daddy seemed to enjoy himself too ;) This is their first child and I know they have waited a long time for this precious little gift!!!

I love how these sessions remind me of when I was pregnant with my first. So many unknowns, excitement, all the showers, the kicking and movement of the child, the heartbeat, and the closeness between mommy and daddy. I love to re-live all those feeling and thoughts when photographing new parents. There is no greater gift from God then a child!!! Enjoy! and Kristin, you ARE beautiful and Josh you are not to bad yourself :)

This post is so long over due.... but happy to finally get to it! This is a celebration post!! Mr. Walker is (or has) retired!!!!
That's right folks it is time for him to start a new chapter and say good bye to the life he has led and pursed for the past 30 something years. He has been loyal and worked hard for the same company all these years!!! This party was to celebrate his hard work and how incredible he is!!! He even made me feel like part of the family!! So cheers to Mr. Walker and good luck with the adventure you take on in retirement!

The party was held in Boykin, S.C. Yes, I said it...what??? you never heard of it before...me either...lol. It is near Camden, S.C. and the whole town is maybe a mile long. But I will never forget it because it has the old charm of a small southern town. Enjoy the pictures....

The Beauty of Motherhood

I am so excited to post this session!! Another favorite of mine for many reasons...lighting was prefect, the subjects were beautiful and easy to work with, and a new little tiny miracle will be born in a few weeks!!!!
Brielle was, and is very stunning and her husband is not to bad himself...lol just kidding Matt!!! You guys are wonderful! They were willing to drive to a couple different locations in Irmo and they were eager to try anything!! They are both creative which helps :)
So I will not prolong this AMAZING session anymore!!! THIS is why I love being behind the camera....

My heart is happy :) Can't wait to see this little man, just a few more weeks :) stay tune.... J

The Beach and Gaterade

So I was driving down the road and I looked at my phone and saw a message from a friend about coming to the beach! I could not believe what I was reading. They were inviting us for a couple of days to come to her parents beach house in Sea Brooks! It had been years since we were their last and Mike and I were pumped! We just had to make it work!!! It had been a couple of years since I saw our friend and so much has changed in both our lives. So Mike and I decide why not, we would make it work!! Hannah was away at my sister's house for a week so it was just us and Bria!! We jumped in the car and head to Charleston!
It was a wonderful few days catching up, swimming, catching fish, seeing a Gatorade (alligator) this is what Bria calls it, beach and laughter!!! Bria had no problem being one of the boys...lol she loved following them around and playing in the sand with them. Little " G" and her are a couple of months apart and they loved playing together. Bria wanted to hold his hand all the time and on the last day little "G" finally gave in and held her hand the whole way home from the beach...it was awesome and of course my camera was packed in the back of the car so I could not capture it :(

I was able to catch a few pictures of her boys playing on the beach and some other pictures of the view from their house!! We enjoyed a short but wonderful couple of days....

Oh, we don't know what it is like to have boys but.... we loved hanging out with them and I think Mike loved throwing them in the pool!! Catherine, we had so much fun and we loved getting to know Arron and the boys! Bria loved them all!!!!!

Last Minute Getway!!

Last week I had the sudden desire to go to the beach and my husband agreed and we decided to go on Saturday with the girls to Folly Beach. I was so excited about finally going out of town with just my little family!
We packed and left Saturday morning and arrived around lunch time. The girls were screaming with excitement when we finally parked. They quickly grabbed their daddy and headed for the stairs near the sand dunes. They ran around, dug in the sand, built sand castles, and played in the water with their daddy. It was so fun to see them so happy and playing together in the sand.
Hannah wanted to build castles and play in the water with her daddy. Bria, wanted to just dig in the sand and before long she had it everywhere!! She loved how the sand felt and how it fell between her fingers. They both loved running back in forth in the waves and the little pools of water. Mike and I just enjoyed sitting there watching them giggle! Don't worry I took some pictures of all the fun!
We had a great time just being together :) Enjoy the pictures of our getway....

It was wonderful to be a little kid again and my heart was full, watching the girls play in the sand and water! I love the beach.....and my FAMILY :)

Miracle Baby "J"

Little Baby "J" has come so far in such a small amount of time!! Little "J" was born premature and has spent a lot of time in the NICU! His mommy shared her pictures with me to see just how small he was!!! He was so tiny but I am so happy to say that he is healthy and gaining weight. When I took his picture he was 4 months old and nice and chunky in a good way!! He has the biggest brown eyes that would melt your heart!!

His dad played football at South Carolina State so we captured a few pictures of him with a football and wearing his dad's jersey. He did great with all the clothing changes and positions we put him in and he even took a little nap for us :)

What Makes Me Smile

Happy to say I completely enjoyed this session. This little one was so easy. She slept the whole time despite me moving her everywhere :) Little E is so precious and has the cutest blonde hair. She was the hit of the nursery at the hospital because of her blonde hair! She looks like her big sister who is a blonde blue eyed beauty!!!

Her mom Sarah was willing for me to crash in and play with baby E for a couple of hours! So here is little "E" in all her cuteness!!

I found this suitcase at a garage sale about a year ago. It has turned into a wonderful unique prop!

This bowl you have seen before and when I got it I didn't realize how great of a prop it would be either! It is made for BBQ but just look how adorable a baby looks in it!!! Happy Father's Day

I want to talk a little about my husband and this special day!! Michael is an incredible, loving, caring, emotional, hardworking, give the shirt off his back, funny, playful, Godly, sweet, awesome husband, daddy and friend, in no particular order :)

I am so blessed to have him in my life and grateful he is the father of my girls. When I see him play with the girls or when he holds them so tightly my heart just melts and makes me SO attracted to him :) There is a genuine attention he gives them with his eyes and heart!! There nothing like seeing them look into his eyes!!!

He takes our oldest out on dates and there is a very special bond between them. The greatest phrase Hannah has said in her short 4 year life was a couple of days ago when she said, " Mommy when I get a little older I want to marry Daddy" I mean seriously that has to be the greatest compliment a daddy could get from his daughter.

I know he looks forward to doing the same thing with BeBe.
Bria and him already have a poo poo dance song, their own special praying hands, and the cheese face. My favorite is when she says, "Daddy.....Hey" and then walks way. It makes him and I laugh!! The thing they both share is the fixture of their tongues when they intently work on something. It is so funny and so CUTE!!! Chubby Cheek Sweetness

I am so excited to see this little man grow before my lens. I took little "G's" newborn pictures just seven short months ago. He was so tiny then. What a difference a few months makes. He had lots of smiles and giggles for me and some chunky cheeks and legs. I love me some chubby cheeks :)

His big sister was willing to make him laugh and smile which was prefect!! This was one of the quickest sessions I have ever done!!!

How I Adore My Best Friend

The very first time I saw my best friend was the very first day of real "Big School" (I moved from a really small private school to a big public school). He was on crutches and limping through the hall. I was wondering if I was in college instead of H.S. He was very tall and football big! He caught my eye of course as I thought how bad it was to walk those long halls on the first day of school. Little did I know that this would be my future best friend, boy friend and then husband!!!! That was our junior year. There were a couple of other times that I ran into him that year like the time I was in the guidance counselors office waiting and he walked into the office with a green sweat shirt, some blue jeans and really CLEAN cross training shoes. I also noticed his nice back side :) LOL

It was not until our Senior year that we had a mutual friend and started hanging out. He told me I had really cool basketball shoes (we had the same pair) :) I then realized he noticed me and he was flirting...momma liked!!!
He asked me around Nov. 9th or 10th to be his girl friend (he would know exactly the date and time!!) I hesitated for a few days but finally came to my senses and said yes!!!!!! The rest is history!!

So why do I tell you all this.....we celebrated on May 13th TEN amazing and crazy years!!!
We celebrated by taking some much update pictures of the two of us and then I surprised him with dinner. So here are the pictures I took! Seriously I set up the camera and pressed the timer....I know I am crazy. This made me realize I need a remote or just ask another photographer friend to do it. But I did not have either so this is what we came out with....enjoy!

Baby Michael

I was so excited when Chris asked me to take some pictures of her newest little on Michael. He is number three which holds a special place in my heart since I was number three too!! So I was already in love with this little one. I love love love newborns. They're so small and precious and remind you just how awesome God's love is for us. So I could not wait to meet him and his family.
He has an older handsome brother and a beautiful sister. His sister has the most amazing curly hair which goes along with the prettiest face. Watch out mom and dad she is going to be a heart breaker. (I think they already now that ) lol
So back to Michael...he was not so sleepy the first time we tried to take pictures but the second time he did great and managed to pee on everything I had...LOL It was pretty funny!! So with out dragging this out any longer here is little Michael...(he has the best name too :)

Just Because...

So I have had some PS problems the last couple of days that have thrown my work all up in the air. Thanks to some great photographer friends I am back up and running :)
Back to Mother's Day. I posted a few of me and the girls but there were so many others that were so good so I am posting some more of that day!
It was so good to have family in town. I thought it was only going to be my parents but my sister and Heidi surprised me with showing up. The girls were SO excited to see their Nene and Heidi!!! On top of surprising me with their arrival they gave me a gift. I was reading and reading and kept saying "WHAT" I could not believe what I was reading. Then the tears came and shock.....ok I will tell you
I am going on another trip out west in JUNE....that's right another trip out west!!!!!!!!!!! WHOAAAAA!
Me my sister and Heidi are going for six days to Utah I believe! They want to celebrate my passion with photography and also the fun we had out in SF. I just need to pay for my food..."What" WHOAAAA!

Ok I am calm again.....back to pictures :) Needless to say it was one of the best Mother's Day ever with my wonderful husband, parents, sister, Heidi and my girls!!!!! Enjoy...

Mommy Celebration

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies out there!!!!
I had a wonderful day with my family. We spent the first half of the day with my husbands family and then in the afternoon my parents came for dinner and my sister and my friend Heidi surprised me with a visit and a amazing gift that I will tell you about some other time :)

Being a photographer is wonderful but you end up not being in most of the pictures! So today I wanted to be in the pictures with my kids. I saw this field the day before on my way home and it was filled with yellow flowers. I wanted to do my pictures there but when we showed up today most of the flowers had closed back up so it was not exactly what I wanted but it still worked :)

The Pacific Coast

Well, here are some more pictures from my trip to CA. I hope you enjoy all the pictures... the coast was the highlight of the trip for me!! We spent about 2 hours on one of the beaches looking for drift wood to bring back. You're asking why??? Well my sister is a designer and things like drift wood are fun and exciting objects to use in design, so we just had too! It was all fun until we saw a snake and the search quickly ended! LOL
The beach we were searching on had all kinds of really big dead trees laying everywhere. My guess is they've been in the ocean for a really long time until the ocean spit them unto the shore. They were amazing and had so many cool designs and textures to them... enjoy!!!

I Left My Heart in San Fransico...

Ok I have been really bad lately about blogging but I am happy to say that I have been doing a lot of traveling lately :)
I had the chance to go to CA for six days with my sister and my friend Heidi for a girls trip. I could not turn it down. I have never cared for the state of CA...mainly because of Hollywood and all the actors who think their opinion matters to all of America. Oops did I just say that :)
Anyway my heart has changed. It is simple amazing out there and so different from the east coast!
I was blown away at the architecture, the landscape and the people. People from San Fran are actually really nice :) We did the tourist things for a couple of days and then we decided to rent a car and drive the coast. I do have to say that was the best part of the trip!! It blew my mind at how beautiful the pacific coast was. So here are a few of my favorite pictures from the trip...this may be a long post since all of the pictures are my favorite :)

10 years of marriage

Are you like most couples when it comes to taking pictures?? When was the last time you did pictures with your spouse...your wedding right, like most people. Once kids come along the two of you in a picture is an after thought. Why not give your kids and grand kids a priceless memory of you and your spouse in some special pictures. Either a special occasion like a milestone anniversary or just the fact you have not done it since your wedding day. The time is now do not wait a minute longer...

I am so excited to share these pictures :) My dear friends celebrated their 10th anniversary in March by going back to where they had their honeymoon! Isn't that romantic!!!!! So when they got back I wanted to capture some of the love of their trip and the last 10 years.
These pictures turned out better then I thought!!! Enjoy and think about the gift you can give generations to come....

So yesterday when I was looking for a place to take pictures of my grandmother and the girls I came across this awesome little shed in a field :) So I had to stop and take a few pictures of the girls.
The purple flowers were prefect since it happens to be Han's favorite color.

I think I may have found a new favorite spot for outside photos...hopefully in the future we will not get yelled at for being there :) Here a few of my favorites....

Great Grandma "B"

So, if you follow my blog then you know a couple of months ago I blogged about my Grandma "G". Well my Grandma "B" has been with us this past week and it is only right that I take pictures of her and the girls too. Both grandmas are in their 90's and going strong. Some day these pictures will be priceless.

So I packed everyone up and headed out to find some flowers. Grandma loves flowers and you would think I would have no problem finding them....well I had a hard time!!

We drove and drove and ended up in the farm country and I found a great pasture to capture these pictures. No flowers but Grandma grew up on a farm so it was still fitting!!!
It was a little chilly and the girls were under dressed...oops! But we were able to capture some sweet moments of the girls with their Great Grandma!!!

The girls had a blast and I think even Grandma had fun...LOL!!! We love you Great Grandma "B" See you next time....J

Happy Easter everyone!! Christ is Risen!
After three egg hunts and hosting my family for Easter I am warn out!! I have candy and plastic eggs coming out of my eye balls! LOL
Hannah is at the age were she is starting to get what the holidays are all about and her excitement makes you want to be a kid again. Then there is Bria who is just learning what to do with a plastic egg. She actually learned that the eggs go in the basket. It was so cute!!!!
It was so wonderful to have family here and I even had the good china out and I cooked my first ham which turned out to be pretty good :)

Yellow Shoe Studio

My crazy schedule the last couple of weeks has been from me traveling to Charlotte to help my sister out with painting and also a big commercial job she had at the Bank of America building downtown. They asked her to design 4 living rooms for a leasing party they were having in their gym on the day of the NCAA tournament. It was a big project and she needed my help!!! Each room would have a theme...grandma, tailgate, modern, and man's room. Each room would also be divided by big flat screen TV's.

My sister, just so you know, is an interior designer that runs her own business called "Yellow Shoe Studio" The name came from her wearing a yellow shoe and brown shoe to church one morning and she did not realize it until she got to church.....no comment!! LOL

Anyway here are some pictures of her work the day before the event. There were only three of us to move and set up all of this stuff. It was fun but exhausting and only took us 8 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a Gift From God....Newborns

So it has been forever since I last blogged!!! Sorry!!! So much as been going on but I am glad to say it has been all good!
In between my crazy life I was able to take some pictures of the new addition to the K family!! I Love newborns and how precious and little they are!! I can't get enough of newborns with hair either!!!!

So a dear friend recently gave birth to her second daughter and she let me in on their changing world to capture little "R" just 15 days old! It was nice to just hang out a little with my friend and capture some sweet pictures of her little one too. Here are my favorites...

Little "R" loves to sleep with her hands near her face or above her head and she loves being in mommy's arms!!

I love this next picture of her smiling! Best part of newborns...being patient and waiting for an expression like this....

The last two I just love!!! Mommy giving little "R" a sweet hug and mommy holding little "R" in her hands. Showing just how small and precious she is and also a reflection of how Jesus holds us in His hands!!! Mommy Monday with Grandma "G"

I am so happy to say that I have both my grandmothers living still. Both are in their 90's and healthy! Why do I say that...? Well, because I love them and also because my kids get to spend time with these two amazing women!!!
My Gandma "G" may be 92 but she acts 16. She is a master at playing cards and you have to be aware at all times...she may try to pull a fast one on you if you are not paying attention!! LOL! She has the best attitude and loves God, her Family, and Life!!
She is on her 4 month southern tour to see family and it is our turn to have her. The girls love her dearly. She plays with them and reads to them and she always has a hug and kiss for them. So before she leaves I wanted to take some pictures of her with the girls. Here are my favorites from our picnic adventure....

Winter Wonderland

Seven years ago Mike and I made a promise to each other that when it snowed enough, we would go sledding on the golf course in our subdivision. Well that DAY finally came!!! We got 6 inches of snow yesterday!!! Han was so excited to go sledding but we had to wait until this morning to do it.
We quickly got up this morning and ate a quick breakfast and bundled up to go play in the snow!!! We did not go on the golf course but instead stayed in our own yard and slid down the hill with trash bags! The girls had a blast and daddy and I had to challenge each other to sliding down the hill face first. I think his exact words to me were...."Are you too old to do it" The challenge was ON!!! Needless to say we ate a lot of snow...LOL
This time I was able to take some pictures of the girls in the snow...enjoy.....my favorite pictures are the last three at the bottom....priceless! Till next time....J (having a little problem today with the blog)

I did this session a while ago and things kept coming up and pushing this one back. So here goes....

Boys are not suppose to wear a dress but there is one exception to this rule....Baptism!! My friend Missi had this beautiful baptism dress made before she had kids. It is long with small beautiful detail all over and it would be prefect for a girl....but....she had boys!! LOL
She wanted pictures done of her second, like she did with her first so she asked me to do a similiar picture. I was thrilled!!!
We were able to get him to sit still enough to capture this shot! He was more into crawling around then sitting and he was getting upset with the long train getting in his way....I feel your pain little man! LOL
So here is little "W" Child of God!!!

You know you are a mom when......

So after tucking my youngest into bed last night I came out to the living room to this....

My oldest had set up ALL her dolls and stuff animals on the couch. They were all ready and tucked in for the night. As you can see we have a big couch and she was able to cover every inch of it!!! LOL
She wanted to make sure we were quiet because they were all sleeping!!
So this is where "you know you are a mom when..." you sit on the floor the rest of the night so you don't disturb the babies sleeping....!!!
What in the world was I thinking!! I truly sat on the floor the rest of the night! These dolls and animals never had it so good. But this is what mommies do....sacrifice our own welling being for our babies or in this case the dolls and stuff animals!! Ha!!!

Happy 1st Birthday!!

The first year is such a milestone for our kids and the first step for them leaving the baby stage behind forever. They start being more independent and their little personalities are coming out more and more. Some are walking and others are talking.

I was excited to capture little "W" celebrating his first birthday and accomplishing some of the milestones I was talking about above. He just started walking the day before I took his 1 year pictures!! How cool is that! I brought along a red and blue scooter that he just loved (his big brother loved it too).
His older brother "L" turned 3 in Nov. so we took a few pictures of him as well. So here are a few of my favorites...

Mommy Mondays

WOW! What a weekend!! My whole family met in Charlotte to celebrate my Grandmother's 94th birthday...yes I said it, she is 94 and in great health.
It was also the one year anniversary of my mom finding out she had breast cancer.
We cooked homemade pizzas, played on the playground, danced to loud music that Grandma could not stand...lol and took a new updated 4 generations picture with all the girls.

So here are a few pictures of my family celebrating each other and life...

I am excited about introducing this beautiful family to you who I love dearly. They're all gorgeous with blond hair and blue eyes! The kids are so full of life and their parents are just the greatest!!
