The Next Chapter

The summer is ending and the school year is beginning!! A new chapter is starting for my mom!!! As we say goodbye to the last seven months of finding out she HAD breast cancer to chemo, side effects, hair loss, radiation and recovery, and I am excited to see what this new chapter brings for my mom. She is a kindergarten teacher and seems to be excited about starting another year. How many years is it now mom???? (maybe her last year, Yay...no pressure)

Mom no longer wears her wig and is strutting around with her new look and a sense of new life!!! So to end the last 7 months with a bang we took one last picture at the beach with our shirts on!!! I LOVEEEEE these pictures because despite all the scary moments and the unknown of what my mom would go through, we can celebrate that she has fought like a girl and beat cancer!!! So we decided to do a fist up for fighting cancer!

The facial expressions make me smile and laugh every time I look at them!!!

Just to give you a little background of these pictures and why we took so many was because my sister Kathi, on the far left, kept making the weirdest faces!! LOL!!!

Ok so we all have crazy faces but my sister Kathi's face keeps cracking me up!!! My stomach is killing me!! Seriously are you kidding!!!! What in the world...I would not want to meet her in a dark alley with that face!! LOLLLLLLLL....I am dying somebody call the paramedics!!!!!!

The Beckwith Family + One

I am super excited about telling you that I just did my first Maternity session with the Beckwith Family!!! They are very good friends who are expecting their third child. It is a surprise and I can't wait to find out!!!
We went downtown to the water front and took some fun shots in the heat. I am pretty sure I was sweating more then they were. LOL
Their two older children were great minus the chewing gum!LOL MR has the curliest hair I have ever seen and some of the most stunning eyes!! Just wait, I have a few of her! She is all girl and quite a little model!!!!
E is all boy but he LOVES his momma!! He was more interested in making faces then smiling but I was able to find a few!!
Then there is Paul and Dorothy!! Paul is my husbands roommate from college. I have some of the best memories of them living in that house!!! Lets just say there was never a dull moment in that house!!
Dorothy is the glue that holds all of them together!! She is a wonderful teacher and has such a heart for kids!!! She is very type A but is learning to just go with the flow. For example it is killing her not know what she is having. But she is doing just fine. I think having kids and being married to Paul has helped that! LOL Love you guys!
I am so happy that God has blessed them with number 3! Can 't wait to take pictures of that little one!!!

Handmade Recess

I just realized that I have not posted the pictures I did for my friend Ellen!! What have I been thinking!! Ellen is one of the most amazing friends I have!!! She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it and will encourage your socks off!!! I love me some Ellen!

So when she was looking for someone to take some pictures of her new bags she makes by hand I was happy to do it!! She is amazing and her designs are so cute!!! She makes hand bags, wallets, make-up bags, sunglass cases, aprons and necklaces (hope I did not leave anything out). Her website should be up soon and when it is I will be sure to let you know about it!!!

So here is Ellen Parker's Homemade Recess!!!

Those are aprons that are hanging on the fence!!! I want one soooo bad!!!

She is working hard to be eligible for the Holiday Market this coming Christmas!! We are praying she makes it in!! Until then she will be busy sewing and designing!! I love you Ellen!!

The Stogner Family!!!

Well, it just would not be right for me to go to the beach and not take pictures of my family! So it was a real treat for me to take some pictures of my oldest sister and her family! Sorry Kathi for saying this but the only family pictures (professional looking) that they have in their house is the one they did for their church directory!!! Yikes!
As my other sister said, "it looks so forced" meaning the way they make everyone stand and smile and where to place their hands! It makes me laugh just thinking about it! So this was extra special for me to give them something that was fun,relaxed, and allowing them to be themselves!

My nieces are the cutest and prettiest things out there. Even my brother-in-law looks like a GQ model!!! I loved how the shots turned out and their one request was that I would give them color pictures this year!! LOL

So without prolonging this any longer here are a few of my favorite pictures of my beautiful sister and her family! I really had a hard time choosing. Love you Kathi, Henry, Lydia and Jesse!

Celebration of Life

I got the computer back so here goes!!!

I am so happy to say Praise God that Mom's treatments are over!!! Yeah!!!! She finished up just in time to take a week at the beach with the whole family. We have done this the last two years and mom and dad were never there the whole week, so this was a big deal!!!
Mom finished July 31st and headed to the beach Aug. 2nd!! Talk about close!!!!

I wish I would have taken a picture of our car!! LOL!! Mom and Dad stopped here and loaded their things into my car to head to the beach. Mike had to stay behind for a couple of days which was sad. But anyway I don't think we could have put anything else in the car!!

Let's see the list:
Car carrier full: check
Back of the car full to the top: check
Tow carrier full with coolers: check
Dad, Me, Mom, and the two girls packed: check

SURFSIDE BEACH HERE WE COME!!!

We made it with no problem and joined Jeanene, Kathi and her crew at the beach house!
It was a great week of fun, relaxation, laughter, sleep, cinnamon rolls(did I just say that), pool, beach, movies, runny noises(my girls), mom's birthday, mom and dad's anniversary,pictures and sun!! What a week!!!!

Can I go back please!!!! There is something to say for when you can spend a week with your whole family and wish you could still be around them!!!!

Funniest story of Hannah and Jessica....Hannah and Jesse are 6 months apart and they were each others shadow at the beach. It was so funny to watch them play together. Well, one night we decided to go out to dinner for Mom's birthday and we had to take two separate cars. When we got to the restaurant we did not park near each other.

See if you can picture this...

Hannah gets out of the car (Jesse does the same from her car) they see each other at a distance and instantly yell, (Hannah) "Jesse" (Jesse) "Hannah" and they run to each other and give each other a big hug as if they haven't seen each other in years(it had only been like 5 mins.) LOL!!!!!! I love it!!

Just a great week!! The best part was photographing my family. So enjoy the pictures and mom's celebration of life!!!!

Hurry Up Already!!!

Ok, so my mom has put the pressure on me!!!! Hurry hurry hurry, right when I need the mac to download pictures my hubby needs it for work!!! UGH! Maybe some day I will have my own.

So back to my mom putting the pressure on....she posted an email last night about her journey with cancer and told everyone to check my blog for pictures!!! Yikes! I do have some of them on here but the new ones are still on the computer!!! If you are reading this and looking for mom's journey stay tune and check back later today or the next...heck keep checking back and leave a comment if you would like!!!

I would love to have a bunch of followers on here. I need to work on this site a little. Right now you can't find any info. on me or read anything about my profile. I tired a different layout and it blocked everything. In due time I will fix it!! One thing at time peoples!!!

Until then keep checking back and I will have the new pictures of mom and are trip to the beach posted!!! Did I tell you amazing my mom looks with her short hair!!! Love it!!! Just wait and see!!!
