You know you are a mom when......

So after tucking my youngest into bed last night I came out to the living room to this....

My oldest had set up ALL her dolls and stuff animals on the couch.  They were all ready and tucked in for the night.  As you can see we have a big couch and she was able to cover every inch of it!!! LOL
She wanted to make sure we were quiet because they were all sleeping!!
So this is where "you know you are a mom when..." you sit on the floor the rest of the night so you don't disturb the babies sleeping....!!!
What in the world was I thinking!!  I truly sat on the floor the rest of the night!  These dolls and animals never had it so good.  But this is what mommies do....sacrifice our own welling being for our babies or in this case the dolls and stuff animals!! Ha!!!

Stay tune......J

Happy 1st Birthday!!

The first year is such a milestone for our kids and the first step for them leaving the baby stage behind forever. They start being more independent and their little personalities are coming out more and more. Some are walking and others are talking.

I was excited to capture little "W" celebrating his first birthday and accomplishing some of the milestones I was talking about above. He just started walking the day before I took his 1 year pictures!! How cool is that! I brought along a red and blue scooter that he just loved (his big brother loved it too).
His older brother "L" turned 3 in Nov. so we took a few pictures of him as well. So here are a few of my favorites...

Look he is walking!!!

I love the fact that I can get a little boy time with this family!!!
Keep coming back...J

It was also the one year anniversary of my mom finding out she had breast cancer.
We cooked homemade pizzas, played on the playground, danced to loud music that Grandma could not stand...lol and took a new updated 4 generations picture with all the girls.

So here are a few pictures of my family celebrating each other and life...

The "B" Hive

I am excited about introducing this beautiful family to you who I love dearly. They're all gorgeous with blond hair and blue eyes! The kids are so full of life and their parents are just the greatest!!
Mommy "B" asked me if I would do their Christmas picture this year and I was so excited. We decided to head down to the horse shoe to capture some great shots. They were the most easy going family and they knew exactly how to just play around and have fun. One of the best parts for me was following the kids around and capturing them exploring and having fun...

Here are a few of my favorites. I had a hard time with this one so I am posting quite a few...enjoy

This is big brother "B"

Sweet "B" who is so curious....and did not mind me following her around

Little "B" man looking handsome

I love little "B's" face in this picture

I love the expression of little "B"

Thank you Brian and Beth for letting me hang out with you guys and take pictures of your wonderful family. Stay tune....J

Mommy Mondays

I promise to blog between Mondays but this did not happen this past week. So you are getting two Mondays in a row!!

My sisters and I decided to get together last week for a little girls weekend with the kids. There are 4 grand kids on my side and they are all girls. So I packed up the car, the girls, one sister and her dog and headed up the mountain to see my other sister and her girls in WV...yes I said WV where it is cold and lots of snow!!!

The car ride there was stressful with my youngest screaming her head off and crying pretty much the whole way (she never fell asleep so you can imagine. Every time she tried to go to sleep, something would happen to wake her up)...so when we got there she and mommy were more then ready for a nap! But enough about that...to the good stuff

The weekend had a lot of "first"
1. First long trip were Bria who did not nap at all in the car :) (stressful)
2. Hannah and bria's first experience with sledding and making snow angels
3. Bria seeing snow for the first time
4. First girls weekend with my sisters and the kids....priceless!!!!

So we played dress up, had dance parties, played house and doctor, ate lots of junk food, and watched lots of movies, and just had a good ole time!!!

I do have to say that we were the ONLY ones who were sledding...why do you ask...maybe because it was 10 DEGREES outside??? Yes, we were crazy but we don't see snow that often and my sisters and I really wanted the kids to have a great time together in the snow. It did not take long before we were all numb and having a blast!!! Even little Bria had fun....bad news is that I did not get any pic of us in the snow...boo. I could not hold Bria and take pictures at the same time my sister did so hopefully I will get a few from her. So here are a few pictures of the snow and the girls...

The view from my sister's front window (could not go outside because I was watching the baby while everyone else napped)Another view from her window

What I saw when I walked into the TV room sat. morning....ahhhhhh...love them

All the girl cousins before heading to church...how they love each other!

Till next time...stay warm and enjoy your families....J

Mommy Mondays

I am going to try to post pictures of my family every Monday. Just so you can see a little of my world of being a mommy!
So what do you do with two weeks off from preschool and weather that is to cold to go outside....
Well you play dress up of course!!! Sing lots of songs and dance around to Beyonce "All my single ladies, put a ring on it" and Kirk Franklin's "Revolution" song. Even my 13 mo. old can sing the Wo oh ohh oh ohs of the chorus! LOL

So here is a day in my life with my two little angels...

Hannah as Cinderella sing to me a wonderful song!!!

Bria as Tinkerbell...spreading fairy dust all over the place..(not really) Seriously this outfit makes me want to squeeze her to death and kiss her all over!!!

All is right in the world when you watch your children play.....did I tell you how much I love being at home.....priceless!!!
More Christmas pictures to come...J

Christmas Goodies

OK I am finally getting around to posting some of the Christmas pictures I took back in Oct. and Nov.
This family I dearly love....OK it is my brother-in-law and sister-in-law's family. This one is extra special for me since my sister-in-law loves to have pictures done of her kids and if you don't believe me just go to her house. The kids are everywhere!!!! So I was honored to be asked to take their Christmas picture. We headed down to the River Front Park and had lots fun...I mean I did! LOL
My sister-in-law always says by the time they are done taking pictures they all want to kill each other (not really but you understand) :)
My niece and nephews are beautiful and know exactly what to do for the camera (accept when they are making faces and doing bunny ears). I guess that is what Aunt Jodi gets!!! LOL
Here a few of my favorites...

"E" man could not keep a straight face when everyone was looking at him...(by the way he will be 5 in seven days!!!)

I could not decide on "M's" pictures so I put both of them in....love her!!

"G" man!!! Love those eyes...watch out girls!!!

Little "E" who looks exactly like his daddy!!!

After this picture the boys were climbing and jumping off these rocks...oops...sorry mom!! :)

Thanks Ray and Christi, for letting me in on the fun...more to come...J
